Joseph Hagenbuckle

J Hagenbuckle is writer, director, designer, actor and producer for Cape Noir Radio Theater. His start as a freelance sound designer/composer for theater in 1988 on Cape Cod at The Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (W.H.A.T.) has taken him On and Off Broadway, to London and many Boston and Regional Theaters including fifteen seasons as resident sound designer with The Berkshire Theatre Festival, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and twenty years at Cape Cod Theatre Company/HJT where his Sherlock Holmes play A SYMPHONY OF REVENGE and his adaptations of the thriller classics THE KABINET OF DR CALIGARI, FRANKENSTEIN, THE INVISIBLE MAN and DRACULA; BLOOD OF THE VAMPIRE received rave reviews and played for sold out houses. J is an NEA/TCG Design Fellow, Boston’s Elliot Norton Award recipient for Outstanding Designer and earned an MFA in Theatre Sound Design from Brandeis University.
