Matthew P. Woerner

Matthew P. Woerner has been a storyteller since he was a child. At age 10, he was introduced to Old Time Radio by his parents and was instantly hooked. He loved the imagination needed to fully enjoy whatever program he was listening to. Having always been telling stories but never being able to write them down in book form, he found it much easier to translate his stories through dialogue just as done in OTR. By the time he graduated high school, Woerner had over 30 audio play scripts in his portfolio, but it wasn't until Winter of 2019 that he finally decided to bring one of his own stories to life. Though there were several issues during the process, ranging from snow storms to the beginning of Covid 19, Woerner was able to build a studio in his garage, revamp a script he had written 26 years earlier, cast, record and edit his debut audio play, After Midnight. The show debut October 30th, 2020 and received good reviews and was even nominated for Best New Show at the 4th Annual ATC Seneca Awards. Woerner quickly followed up his debut play with a psychological thriller, The Three, which debut on all streaming services on June 30th 2021. Since then he has continued to write future dramas and plans to release his first holiday themed audio play, A Gift, this November.
