Patricia Haines-Ainsworth
After receiving her BFA from Kutztown University, Pat Haines-Ainsworth worked as an art director for a local television station and a typesetting firm. She followed her curiosity and moved to the Pacific Northwest in the 1980's. After the birth of their second child, Pat sold her interest in the graphics firm she co-founded and worked from home for several years. During that time, her love of theatre was rekindled and in 1999, she co-founded a non-profit, touring theatre company that focused on presenting programs for rural and economically disadvantaged communities. After twenty years of writing musicals for young audiences with composers Larry Bridges, and later with Terry Levitt, they had a library of almost forty shows. Other theatre companies and schools from Boston to the West Coast have produced their own productions of many of the shows. In 2019, Pat decided to experiment with the growing world of podcasting. Always a fan of old radio shows and audio dramas, she began adapting her most popular shows for that medium. With the help of some very talented local, professional actors Winking Kat Tales launched in late fall of 2019. Pat still lives in Washington State with her husband and two furry kids. Her adult human children live nearby.
