It’s 1968. Martin Luther King has just been assassinated and the world has gone mad. In Beverly Hills, Janice Walker sits at her husband’s funeral. Once rich and prosperous, her husband left Janet and her daughter flat broke. With everything she owns repossessed, Janice must return home to a small town in Utah to restart her life. But that means living with her alcoholic mother, GRANDMA BEA, who could intimidate Hitler, and whom Janice despises. Back in Utah, Janice finds the old homestead unchanged and in the weeks that follow, she rekindles a love lost as she and her mother finally come to understand each another and repair a family that was in ruin.
