David A. Gregory
David A. Gregory began writing after the soap opera he was on for three years was “unexpectedly” cancelled. Panicked at only being hired to say lines on TV in his underwear, David created the scripted podcast Western "Powder Burns" (Apple Podcasts) where he said dialogue in a recording booth fully clothed, with Emmy award-winning stars John Wesley Shipp, Edward Asner, and the late Robert Vaughn. The show won a 2017 Voice Arts Award (five nominations) and a spot in the top 10 at the Austin Film Festival for their inaugural Fictional Podcast Prize. Western Writers of America hailed the show as “Darn good entertainment; The future of Westerns.” As an actor, David's credits include “One Life to Live” (as John Wesley Shipp's son), recurring characters on “The Good Fight”, “Insatiable”, “Constantine”, and “Deception”, a host of guest stars, a Lifetime movie, Sebastian in national commercials for Airborne, the title role in "Dirty Sexy Saint", and the cutting room floor in James L. Brooks’ "How Do You Know". His upcoming play "Hank & Jim Build a Plane", a two-hander about the 50-year friendship of Henry Fonda and Jimmy Stewart, has been optioned by the Tony Award-winning team at SunnySpot Productions in New York.
